About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to support volunteer engagement, membership growth, and programme delivery across the Mid and Upper North Island.

Reporting directly to the Membership & Programme Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and development of volunteers
  • Leading volunteer and member support processes across the region
  • Supporting youth engagement, unit health checks, and membership growth
  • Coordinating volunteer meetings, training, and development initiatives
  • Supporting health and safety, complaints, and incident management processes
  • Building strong relationships with volunteers, caregivers, and stakeholders
  • Leading regional initiatives and supporting continuous improvement projects
  • Travelling across the region to attend events, meetings, and programmes

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience within not-for-profit, education, or community sectors
  • A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field is advantageous
  • Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience within team environments
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to identify process improvements and support system development
  • Excellent communication and organisational capability
  • Positive, flexible, and collaborative working style
  • Current full clean driver’s licence
