About The Company

About The Opportunity
- Lead and support a team of 5-6 kaiako within a full-time early learning environment
- Work closely alongside the Centre Manager and wider leadership team
- Foster a positive, respectful and collaborative team culture
- Guide professional growth through coaching, feedback and reflective practice
- Support responsive, culturally sustaining and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Promote nature-based and animal-focused learning opportunities for tamariki
- Build strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, kaiako and the wider community
- Ensure compliance with ECE regulations, licensing criteria, centre policies and health and safety standards
- Oversee staff rostering, classroom reviews and evaluations to support continuous improvement
About You
- NZQA-recognised ECE or Primary Teaching qualification
- Current NZ Teaching Registration/Certification
- Proven leadership experience within an ECE setting
- Strong knowledge of ECE regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills
- Confidence mentoring, supporting and inspiring a teaching team
- A collaborative, approachable and professional leadership style
- Passion for high-quality early childhood education, inclusive practice and culturally responsive teaching
- Appreciation for nature-based learning, animals and outdoor environments
