About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver geotechnical and civil engineering projects while working closely with clients, regulatory authorities and internal project teams. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, assessment, design and delivery of a wide range of engineering projects throughout New Zealand.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Project Leaders, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing engineering reports, specifications and construction documentation
- Planning, coordinating and supervising field investigations and site works
- Undertaking geotechnical assessments, analyses and engineering design
- Conducting slope stability, seepage, settlement and seismic assessments
- Providing leadership and mentoring to junior technical staff (Senior level)
- Liaising with contractors, consultants and regulatory agencies
- Monitoring construction works and providing technical advice
- Managing project budgets, schedules and client deliverables
- Developing and maintaining client relationships
About You
Intermediate Engineer
The successful candidate will have:
- Approximately 3-5 years' relevant geotechnical or civil engineering experience
- Exposure to geotechnical investigations, analysis and reporting
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or similar qualification
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
- A clean driver's licence
Senior Engineer
The successful candidate will have:
- Proficiency with Slope/W, Wallap and other relevant geotechnical software
- Strong experience delivering geotechnical and civil engineering projects
- Chartered Professional Engineer status or working towards chartership
- Strong project management and client management capabilities
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience leading technical delivery across complex projects
- Experience supervising and mentoring engineering teams
- 10+ years' relevant post-graduation experience
