About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to source, negotiate, and manage wine and spirits ranges while driving profitability, supplier relationships, and promotional opportunities across the business.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Managing relationships with key wine and spirits suppliers
- Negotiating pricing, promotional deals, and favourable trading terms
- Identifying exclusive product opportunities and growth initiatives
- Coordinating deal sheets, supplier submissions, and promotional programmes
- Managing product pricing, GP calculations, and market analysis
- Leading tasting panel activities, range reviews, and product assessments
- Coordinating in-store tastings, supplier events, and customer experiences
- Supporting staff training and product education initiatives
- Collaborating closely with marketing, retail, and leadership teams
- Maintaining accurate product information and supplier documentation
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within wine, spirits, beverage, or FMCG buying environments
- Strong knowledge of wine and spirits products and industry trends
- WSET qualifications and/or relevant industry experience (highly regarded)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with SAP systems (advantageous)
- Business, Commerce, or related qualification (advantageous)

- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
- Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating supplier agreements
