Our client is one of Australia's fastest-growing premium artisan food distributors, based in the West Ryde/Meadowbank area. Their customers include Woolworths, David Jones, premium supermarkets, health food stores, local retailers, butchers, fresh produce stores, and delis.

Their business is built on strong relationships, exceptional service, and an exciting portfolio of premium food products — from snacks, pickles, yoghurt, and chocolate to sauces, jams, and artisan pantry staples.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to be the main point of contact for customers and the Sales Team via phone, email, and Slack — owning the customer experience by answering calls, responding to customer queries, and following established processes, while supporting accounts receivable functions.

Reporting directly to the Director, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing customer orders and following up on outstanding invoices and customer payments
  • Conducting outbound calls to customers and leads to support relationship building, client management, and lead generation
  • Preparing weekly reports and working closely with warehouses and couriers to resolve customer service and delivery issues
  • Answering inbound calls and responding to customer enquiries, resolving issues with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Assisting with lead setup, account onboarding, and maintaining accurate customer and financial records within internal systems

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong and clear English language skills, both verbally and in written communications
  • The ability to follow established processes with exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Previous experience in customer service, accounts receivable, administration, sales support, or a similar office-based role
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook — experience with ERP/CRM systems such as ODOO and platforms like Slack will be highly regarded
