They provide a full-service solution for commercial, industrial, residential, and custom projects, operating from a purpose-built facility equipped with advanced technologies, including CNC beamlines, robotic welders, and overhead cranes.
About The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Yard Hand / Forklift Operator to support their workshop and yard operations. The successful candidate will safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload structural steel and materials, while also assisting the fabrication team with general yard duties to ensure smooth day-to-day workflow. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Operating The Forklift To Move Raw Steel And Fabricated Products Around The Yard And Workshop
- Receiving, Unloading, And Organising All Incoming Steel Deliveries To The Facility
- Loading Fabricated Steel Onto Delivery Vehicles And Preparing Orders For Despatch
- Keeping The Yard Clean, Well-Organised, And Safe For All Staff At All Times
- Assisting Workshop Staff With General Labouring And Materials Handling As Required
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 3+ Years Of Experience Operating A Forklift In An Industrial Or Manufacturing Environment
- A Valid High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) For Forklift (LF Class) In Queensland
- Strong Safety Awareness And A Keen Attention To Detail When Handling Materials
- Physical Fitness And The Ability To Reliably Handle Heavy Materials In A Team
- Reliability And Punctuality As A Strong Team Player In A Fast-Paced Environment
- Experience In A Steel Fabrication, Engineering, Or Heavy Industrial Setting (Highly Regarded)
- Exposure To Rigging, Crane Operations, And Familiarity With Delivery Dockets And Paperwork
