About The Opportunity
As a Site Leading Hand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations at our job sites. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating a team of tradespeople and labourers on site
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Managing the allocation of resources, equipment and materials on site
- Monitoring work progress and maintaining high-quality standards daily
- Facilitating communication between all site staff and the management team
- Assisting with on-site training and mentoring of all junior site staff
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A strong trade background with supervisory or leading hand experience
- Excellent communication, leadership and strong problem-solving skills
- A Class 2 licence (preferred but not essential) is highly desirable
- Your own vehicle, a valid driver's licence and reliable daily travel
- Ability to commute within a 20-minute drive of the job site each day
- Local candidates preferred with knowledge of the surrounding regions
- Strong work ethic with the ability to lead and mentor your own team
