About The Opportunity
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive functional behaviour assessments and crafting evidence-based, person-centred Behaviour Support Plans.
- Delivering training sessions to families, carers, and support networks on the implementation of behaviour strategies.
- Providing informal mentorship and secondary consultation to fellow practitioners to promote a collaborative work environment.
- Engaging in clinical supervision, reflective practice, and debriefing sessions to support personal and professional growth.
- Contributing to a strong, collaborative team culture, sharing insights and experiences that enhance service delivery.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A degree in Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health, or a related field.
- Current NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission suitability, endorsed at Proficient or Advanced Practitioner level.
- Extensive experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a strong understanding of NDIS regulations, restrictive practices legislation, and behaviour support frameworks.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check, and National Police Check.
- The legal right to work in Australia.
