About The Opportunity

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Workshop Supervisor to oversee their workshop operations. This role involves leading a skilled team and ensuring that all manufacturing, assembly, servicing, testing, and despatch activities are executed efficiently and safely. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising, mentoring and supporting a multi-trade workshop team, including Fitters, Painters, Coil Winders, Technicians and Apprentices
  • Coordinating daily workflow, labour allocation and timekeeping to drive productivity
  • Overseeing assembly, testing, servicing and fault-finding of company products
  • Managing workshop machinery maintenance, stock control, and loading/unloading with forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Leading a strong safety culture, ensuring WHS compliance and conducting risk assessments

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Current unrestricted Electrical Licence
  • Trade qualifications with proven supervisory experience in a workshop or manufacturing setting
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Experience coordinating workflow and managing multiple priorities, with a solid understanding of WHS and safe work practices
  • Overhead crane experience (desirable, training can be provided)
