Based in Bassendean, they provide total component solutions — from the smallest custom parts to complex welded structures up to 10 tonnes across industrial, mining, oil & gas, commercial, and residential building sectors, with customers worldwide.
About The Opportunity
As a Mechanical Fitter, your primary purpose will be to perform mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation of plant and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation across site or workshop facilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing planned and unplanned maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime
- Dismantling, overhauling, and reassembling components such as pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors
- Completing maintenance records and work orders in accordance with site procedures
- Working in compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and engineering documentation
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 5–10 years experience as a Mechanical Fitter in the mining, oil & gas, or manufacturing industry
- A Certificate III in Engineering, a Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification
- A current driver's licence, white card, and relevant tickets such as rigging, dogging, or forklift
- Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and high-level mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with technical platforms and the ability to interpret technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail, a safety-conscious mindset, and full compliance with WHS policies and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team
