Our client is an insurance repair electrical contractor servicing South East Queensland, working primarily with insurance builders across a high volume of jobs.
Supported by a Brisbane-based scheduling team and offshore data-entry support, the business operates in a fast-paced environment where responsive communication, reliable service delivery and strong client relationships are essential.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to provide in-house technical oversight across completed electrical work, estimating, invoicing, reporting and quality assurance.
This is an office-based role suited to an experienced electrician looking to utilise their technical knowledge away from the tools while supporting electricians in the field and ensuring jobs are accurately documented, invoiced and reviewed.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Review electrical work completed by electricians for accuracy and quality
- Prepare estimates and invoices for completed and upcoming electrical works
- Write detailed electrical reports for insurance repair work
- Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to electricians on site
- Answer technical questions relating to reports and scopes of work
- Liaise with insurance builders and internal teams on technical matters
- Complete site safety audits to ensure required safety processes are followed
- Review job profit and loss information and ensure underlying data is accurate
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong practical experience working within the electrical industry
- Extensive technical knowledge of electrical works and fault finding
- Ability to review completed works, scopes, estimates and technical reports
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance
- Confidence providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to review job financial information and identify inaccuracies
- Organised and practical approach within a high-volume environment
This position would particularly suit an experienced or former electrician who has previously run an electrical business or worked in a similar estimating, supervisory or technical role for an electrical contractor.
