About The Company

Our client has been delivering auto and machinery glazing to retail, commercial and mining customers since 2014. 100% locally owned and based in Kalgoorlie, they work on a good mix of new and older vehicles, including ADAS calibration, right through to trucks and heavy mining machinery. They are known for fast, reliable work that keeps their customers moving with minimal downtime.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to fit glass on everything from late-model cars to haul trucks and heavy mining equipment. You will work in the workshop, mobile around Kalgoorlie and on mine sites.

Reporting directly to the Owner, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Replacing windscreens and glass on light vehicles, commercial trucks and heavy machinery
• Repairing chips and damaged windscreens
• Cutting glass to size for machinery and cab glazing
• Carrying out ADAS calibrations after windscreen replacements
• Working independently on the road and on site, and as part of the team in the workshop
• Keeping job records accurate and customers informed

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• 4+ years’ auto glazing experience (less experience? Still apply)
• Certificate III in Automotive Glazing or equivalent proven experience, with automotive and truck glazing experience
• Machinery glazing and glass cutting experience
• ADAS calibration experience
• MR licence
• Working at Heights, EWP and Forklift tickets

You don’t need every box ticked. If you have most of these, our client will train the right person in the rest. This isn’t an entry-level role, though.

Must haves:

• A current manual driver’s licence
• A clean National Police Clearance
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and ongoing medicals
• Ability to pass ongoing drug and alcohol testing
• Fitness for physical work in remote and hot site conditions
