Our client is a well-respected, family-owned diesel workshop in Chinchilla. Being an authorised service centre for some of the largest truck companies in the world, they pride themselves on quality workmanship and A-grade service to their customers. They utilise all the best diagnostic and maintenance equipment to provide the best track record in the region.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with field servicing and mechanical duties in the workshop.
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager some of your responsibilities will include:
- Technical diagnostics
- Mechanical repairs and maintenance
- Engineering and fabrication work
- Auto electrical and air-conditioning work
- Being available for rostered after-hours shifts (1 week per month)
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 3+ years of post-trade experience
- A trade qualification as a diesel mechanic
- Full comprehension of computer diagnostics
- Auto electrical and air-conditioning experience
- Access to their own tools
