About The Company
Our client is a well known and much loved casual seafood dine-in and takeaway restaurant situated directly opposite the picturesque Torquay's beach in Torquay, VIC. Their busy restaurant currently seats approximately 120 dine in patrons and is constantly packed with both locals and tourists due to their well-respected reputation and location. Passionate about maintaining their reputation, they are currently on the lookout for a creative Head Chef to come and drive their kitchen team.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to take charge of the kitchen and its operations while maintaining a high level of food safety and hygienic standards.
Reporting directly to the owners some of your responsibilities will include:
- Menu/Specials costing and planning
- Liaise with Suppliers and reps
- Manage Stock and wastage levels
- Monitoring kitchen safety standards
- Prepare and cook a variety of seafood
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 2+ years experience within a senior position
- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
- Recent experience preparing and cooking seafood
- A willingness to commit to long term employment
