About the Company
This isn’t your average workshop. Backed by three generations of mechanical expertise, Boag’s Diesel is a leading name in the heavy diesel sector with over 13 years of consistent performance. Known for precision, reliability, and a customer-first approach, the business is the trusted choice for contractors, fleet operators, and businesses across Victoria.
Based in Kilmore, the team offers a progressive, hands-on environment where high standards are the baseline, not the goal. If you take pride in your craft and thrive in a results-driven setting, this is where you belong.
About the Opportunity
This is a high-impact opportunity to bring your technical skillset to a business that genuinely values quality, initiative, and attention to detail. You’ll manage both workshop and field-based work across a wide range of diesel machinery, including trucks, mobile plant, and earthmoving equipment.

- Leading with a safety-first mindset and maintaining the highest quality standards
- Attending breakdowns and conducting urgent maintenance in the field
- Maintaining clean, accurate, and compliant service documentation
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians
About You
You’re a skilled, motivated diesel mechanic who brings pride, initiative, and accountability to every job. You’re not just turning spanners — you’re solving problems, setting standards, and contributing to a team that delivers real results.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in diesel mechanical servicing and repairs
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Manual Driver’s Licence essential (HR/forklift tickets highly regarded)
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to mentor junior team members
- A proactive, solutions-driven approach — you don’t wait for direction, you deliver outcomes
