About The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, Director and Senior Leadership Team, your duties will include:

• Carrying out servicing and repairs on heavy vehicles in line with company procedures and safety regulations
• Coordinating with the Workshop Manager regarding completed tasks and scheduled work
• Assisting with workshop cleanliness and upholding safe working conditions
• Responding to breakdowns and completing on-site repairs as required
• Keeping accurate service records and maintaining workshop documentation
• Undertaking workshop servicing, maintenance and fault diagnostics

This position may require occasional travel across the Newcastle to Goulburn region to attend breakdowns and provide field service support.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years’ experience as a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Proven leadership capability, with responsibility for supervising 3–4 workshop mechanics
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with management
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
• Extensive experience in servicing and repairing heavy vehicles

Highly regarded but not essential:

• HC Driver’s Licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
