About The Opportunity:

They are currently seeking an experienced Insulation Project Supervisor to join their team in Adelaide. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee and coordinate daily insulation installation activities across thermal, acoustic, and fire protection systems aboard next-generation naval vessels. Your expertise will ensure that their projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating labour, materials, tools, and workflows to maintain project productivity
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and work packs
  • Supervising daily insulation installation activities across thermal, acoustic, and fire systems
  • Ensuring safety compliance including permits, hazard controls, and pre-start processes
  • Managing inspections, documentation, quality assurance, and project close-outs
  • Supporting and mentoring installation teams in a fast-paced defence environment

About You:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Supervisory experience in shipbuilding, marine, defence, or industrial environments
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Excellent communication, planning, and coordination abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments
  • Experience in thermal, acoustic, or passive fire insulation highly regarded
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and team accountability
  • Experience working to recognised Australian safety and industry standards
  • Ability to oversee quality inspections and compliance procedures
  • Welding inspection experience or relevant certifications highly regarded
