About The Company
Our client is a rapidly expanding mortgage mentoring and aggregation group, helping both new and experienced brokers build sustainable, compliant, and high-performing broking businesses throughout Australia. With brokers now writing a record 77.6% share of all new residential lending, our client is ideally placed to ride the industry's momentum. Recognised for a genuine, broker-first philosophy, the business provides a comprehensive suite of tools, lender relationships, training programs, and mentorship to help brokers scale with confidence.
About The Opportunity
This role exists to be the go-to contact for our broker network — building strong relationships, driving engagement, performance, recruitment, and retention, and supporting brokers as they grow their businesses across Australia.
Reporting directly to the Principal/Director, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of active brokers through structured monthly business reviews and regular check-ins (in-person, phone, and virtual)
- Identifying, engaging, and converting prospective brokers — including career changers, existing brokers seeking better support, and banking professionals transitioning to broking
- Monitoring broker activity, submission rates, and settlement volumes; proactively supporting underperforming brokers before disengagement occurs
- Maintaining a live CRM pipeline of broker prospects, tracking all touchpoints, follow-ups, and conversion stages
- Guiding prospective brokers through MFAA/FBAA compliance pathways, ACL/credit representative onboarding, and mentorship program
- Supporting the rollout of AI-assisted lead generation tools and CRM platforms to drive technology adoption across the broker network
- Building referral relationships with industry partners including accountants, financial planners, real estate agents, and lender BDMs
- Attending MFAA, FBAA, and aggregator industry events to raise our profile and expand your broker network
- Providing weekly recruitment pipeline reports and monthly broker performance summaries to leadership
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in the Australian mortgage broking, aggregation, or lending industry
- Demonstrated experience in a relationship manager, account manager, or broker-facing role
- Strong understanding of the Australian mortgage broking landscape — MFAA/FBAA membership, ACL obligations, credit representative structures, and ASIC compliance requirements
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding recruitment, retention, or sales targets
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills — equally effective one-on-one and in group settings
- Confidence using CRM systems to maintain a structured pipeline and prioritise broker outreach with data
- Ability to work independently, manage a large broker portfolio, and prioritise without close supervision
- Ideally, experience at an aggregator (e.g. Connective, FAST, AFG, Finsure, Outsource) or as a lender BDM
- A proactive, commercially minded approach paired with a genuine passion for the mortgage broking industry
