About the Role

The Anglican Diocese of Brisbane’s ICT team, based in the Brisbane CBD, provide ICT services, support, infrastructure and solutions to a diverse range of business units across South East QLD, including the aged care & disability sectors, social services programs and a large corporate service supporting a workforce of almost 3000 employees across more than 90 locations.

We currently have an opportunity for an innovative, personable and professional leader to provide excellence in service delivery and technical capability to our internal clients as our new Development Team Leader.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of internal applications, back-end databases, and core system interfaces within our suite of systems and infrastructure. You will provide expertise in developing the SharePoint and Business Intelligence (BI) strategy, architecture and systems, and provide ongoing development and maintenance of the SharePoint farms, in-house developed applications, data warehouse and BI reporting tools.

You’ll also be responsible for providing strong and effective values-based leadership to a team of professionals, and fostering a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.

We’re looking for an expert communicator with superior interpersonal, consultative, negotiation, and communication skills to clearly express, influence, and support business improvements and ICT service outcomes.

Our successful applicant will require a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain custom applications with specialist knowledge in using .NET Framework, SharePoint, and SQL Server, together with experience in software architecture design, development, configuration and deployment. You will have in depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies, tools and services for software development environments, and the ability to perform business analysis, requirements gathering and specifications development. Most importantly, you will be an innovative and enthusiastic professional with a focus on achieving client outcomes by motivating and managing a technical team to achieve service excellence for the business.

You will also require:

  • a current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire)
  • ability to work extended and varied hours in a range of work locations depending on the daily requirements of the role
  • tertiary qualification, preferably IT related (desirable)
  • appropriate vendor certification – Microsoft (desirable)
