About the Position
Anglicare Southern Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Community Services, based in Nambour, are currently seeking an Allied Health Assistant to support our growing team in delivering exceptional client outcomes and high-quality care.
Working part time within a multidisciplinary team, you will support allied health staff, including Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, to deliver allied health programs and services to clients.
In this exciting, varied role, you will assist to provide clinical care such as Instrumental Activity of Daily Living (IADL) and Personal Activity of Daily Living (PADL) retraining, mobilisation, community integration and assisting with group activities. You’ll also participate in the delivery of hydrotherapy sessions and delivery of individualised exercise programs, as well as undertake basic service administration and equipment maintenance tasks.
We’re looking for an energetic and driven Assistant with a demonstrated knowledge and ability in community based services and more specifically, in supporting a team of Allied Health professionals in delivering care.
An excellent communicator, our successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff, clients, their families and carers, and people from diverse backgrounds, and produce accurate written documents and notes.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you possess a Certificate IV in Allied Heath Assistance, a National Police Certificate (or be eligible to obtain prior to commencement), a current CPR and First Aid certificate, a valid QLD Drivers’ Licence and a reliable vehicle.
