About the Position
Located on our spacious campus at Taigum, Symes Grove is a fully-accredited aged care facility for both low and high care clients, strengthened by a team of values-driven professionals who sincerely care about what we do and the contribution we make in our residents’ lives.
We are currently looking for a casual Personal Care Worker to join the team and assist with cover for planned and unscheduled leave.
This role’s overall purpose is to provide a range of high quality services to residents within the facility, including their individual physical, psychological, cultural and spiritual needs.
As a Personal Care Worker, you will support a safe home-like environment, and encourage physical and social independence whilst safeguarding the dignity and privacy of the residents.
About You
Each day is different in this rewarding role, and requires our successful candidate to not only offer a fantastic attitude, but also a dedication to the following:
- Providing quality assistance with a range of daily activities
- Supporting clients with self-care including bathing and dressing
- Assisting with housekeeping and laundry duties
- Involvement with social and recreational activities
- Providing emotional, social and spiritual support to residents
Personal attributes will also include:
- Enthusiastic, compassionate and personable
- Experienced in Aged Care or similar
- Focused on providing Personal Support Services
- A strong communicator – both written and verbal
- Committed to supporting the elderly and comfortable working within professional boundaries and guidelines
Qualifications required:
- Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent)
- A current National Police Certificate
