About the Position

Our Sunshine Coast Community Services team are key in providing care and support to a range of clients, including Aged Care and Disability services. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full time Lifestyle Lead to join us.   

The Lifestyle Lead’s overall purpose within Anglicare Southern Queensland is to plan, coordinate, maintain and evaluate the delivery of all client group lifestyle activities for the aged and or those who have a disability. The focus is on enablement, empowerment and independence for clients.

The role requires the coordination, assessment and review of clients and providing effective supervision of, and mentoring to, Lifestyle Assistants so that safe, equitable and appropriate outreach and sustainable service delivery occurs for this client base.

 

About You

An experienced Aged Care or Disability Services professional, you will bring the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Proven background in planning, conducting and evaluating activity and diversional therapy programs
  • Coordination of programs to ensure efficient and effective use of resources
  • Identify individual client needs and assist to maintain or improve independent functioning
  • Provide high level supervision , guidance and mentoring to staff and promote a collaborative, productive working environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of people including staff, management and clients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Commitment to ongoing quality improvement and professional development of the service and yourself
  • Dedication to working within the Aged Care, Community and Disability sectors to improve and enhance the lives of clients
  • Excellent administrative skills, including evaluation and assessment documentation

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent)
  • A current National Police Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • A clean Queensland Drivers Licence and your own reliable vehicle
  • Capability to meet the physical requirements of the role
