Officer - Accounts Receivable

About the Position

Anglicare SQ is one of Queensland’s most experienced community service providers, and over the years our offering has evolved under different banners, and expanded greatly to include “all of life” services. Our range of supports is ever-increasing and are delivered in partnership with government and other organisations. To continue these essential services, Anglicare require the support of a dedicated Corporate Services team, which incorporates Finance. We are currently looking for a full time Officer - Accounts Receivable to join us - providing financial, clerical and administrative support to the accurate and efficient allocation of payments to accounts.

 

About You

Having several years’ experience in an accounting role - specifically within accounts receivable, credit control, or debt collection, you will offer broad knowledge and skills in:

  • Generating debtor invoices and statements, preparing daily banking and journals & reconciling accounts
  • Following up on overdue accounts, payments and donations, including regular reporting
  • Assistance with credit allocation reports and other backup support as required
  • Processing manual invoices, issuing direct debit forms and entering information electronically
  • Proficiency in the use of financial software - Sun Systems, Procura, Peoplepoint or Dynamics AX experience would be highly beneficial

Your natural ability to focus on the customer, along with your friendly and competent manner will be coupled with:

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of stakeholders and team members
  • Efficiency and attention to detail, even when working within time frames and to deadlines
  • Confidence in work prioritisation and managing your own workload while still being a committed team player
  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and previous experience using databases

You will be required to hold a current National Police Certificate.
