Water & Sewer CoOrdinator

Cobar is a rural mining community located in far western New South Wales. Our shire is one of the largest in the state, spanning over 44,000 square kilometres.

We are seeking an engineer or trade qualified individual for this newly created, hands-on Water & Sewer Coordinator role. The CoOrdinator will have the responsibility for providing high quality technical and operational support to water and sewer construction and maintenance projects across the Shire.

Duties will include people management, daily operational oversight, asset inspections, technical reporting and the planning and scheduling of routine and reactive maintenance.

Reporting to the Water & Sewer Manager, our preferred candidate will be values driven and a proactive and adaptable leader with a strong work ethic who can also work independently to achieve results efficiently and safely.  

This full-time position is classified as Band 3 Level 3 ($84,000 - $98,000 dependent on the qualifications and experience of the candidate) under Council's salary system in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight, 38 hours per week.
