SANFL is looking for an energetic and confident Strength and Conditioning Coach to lead the design and delivery of the SANFL Umpires physical preparation program. The role will be assisted by and report to the Physical Performance Manager. 

The successful candidate will lead the design and delivery of the physical preparation program following current best practice to over 100 SANFL umpires including warmups, conditioning sessions, and recovery.  

 Qualifications

  • ASCA level 1 or the ability to obtain within the first 3 months of starting
  • Currently undertaking or completion of a human movement related degree is desirable
  • Current DHS Working with Children Check

 Duties and responsibilities

  • Attend training on Monday and Wednesday’s nights at Pultney College, lead warmups and conditioning sessions.
  • With assistance from the Physical Performance Manager, design and manage the physical preparation program.
  • Work closely with the Physical Performance Manager to help promote a positive environment that helps cater to the vary levels of fitness and match day demands of all SANFL umpires.

 

Key selection criteria

  • ASCA level 1
  • Experience coaching either one on one or in group environments

 

Position Classification

  • This casual role will align with ASCA’s remuneration guidelines depending on level of ASCA accreditation. Estimated time commitment is 200 hours.

  • ASAP
