WHAT YOU WILL LOVE ABOUT THIS JOB

Role model engaging and high-quality experiences in Australian Rules Football to increase participation through strategically important growth market formats in South Australia.

This position will assist to plan, deliver and evaluate emerging and new ways to play Australian Rules football in South Australia. Evolving the participation pathway and providing more ways to play is strategically important to secure and grow the future.  

  These responsibilities include:

  • Participation growth and innovation
  • Support the development of SANFL team and teachers / educators
  • Build meaningful and effective relationships with community stakeholders
  • Champion children and young people safeguarding principles and practices

ABOUT YOU

Your enthusiasm and passion for the growing Footy is supported by deep understanding of communities with diverse abilities, access to programs and non traditional footy pathways. You will demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development to grow relevant skills to successfully deliver the job.  Your ability to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, communities, schools and clubs will be driven by your delivery of quality footy experiences, support for volunteer workforces and professionally representing the SANFL.

Your success in the role will be underpinned by the following:

  • DHS Working with Children Check
  • Current South Australian Drivers Licence
  • An empathy and understanding of Australian Rules football at various levels
  • Working knowledge of Safeguarding Children & Young Practices
  • Coaching and/or teaching experience
  • Experience in building relationships with community stakeholders
