Station Manager - Donors Hill

We are actively recruiting for a Station Manager to manage the operations of one of our Northern stations, Donors Hill, in the Gulf Region of Queensland.

Reporting directly to the General Manager – Primary Production, the Station Manager will be responsible for;

• Effective management and planning of the station’s operations throughout the season
• Plan and effectively manage livestock programs and practice to comply with company policies and relevant legislation
• Effectively manage and plan the station's operations budgets and financial performance including regular reporting
• Forecast and manage annual maintenance and capital improvement programs
• Assisting in the creation and ongoing management of a annual workforce plan
• Promote and comply with quality assurance, WHS, company systems and legislative obligations
• Prepare, maintain and communicate reports to assist with business analysis and with meeting strategic objectives
• Effectively manage biosecurity and livestock health and welfare
• Develop and manage environmental and natural resource programs

The successful incumbents will;

• Have a minimum of 6 years leadership experience, previous Station Management experience
• Have previous experience managing budgets and communicating across various levels of an organisation
• Hold demonstrable experience in low stress stock handling
• Have a team orientated personality with an approachable demeanour
• Hold various licences including but not limited to;
  • Car/Truck licence (C minimum)
  • Gun licence (AB minimum)
  • High Risk Work Licences (Vehicle Loading Crane preferred, not essential)
