New season starting January 2025. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Leading Hand to join our team at Fort Constantine Station for the upcoming season. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role on a large, well-maintained cattle station located in Queensland.

About the Role:

As the Leading Hand, you will work closely with the Head Stockman to oversee the day-to-day operations, providing support and guidance to the station team. You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of cattle work, general station maintenance, and assisting with the training of junior staff.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor station hands and junior staff.
  • Assist with cattle mustering, drafting, and yard work.
  • Perform fencing, maintenance, and water run duties.
  • Ensure the safe operation of machinery and vehicles.
  • Maintain a high standard of animal welfare and work safety.
  • Support the Station Manager with operational tasks.
