The Role:
We’re seeking a dependable and detail-focused Renderer to support the smooth operation of our Gatton plant. This hands-on role involves working with by-products processing, adhering to high safety standards, and ensuring compliance with AQIS and other industry requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to WHS protocols, including lockout procedures for water, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Safely handle and manage chemicals (Chemical Handling Certificate preferred or willingness to complete training).
- Clean machinery and processing areas, utilising hosing and foaming techniques to AQIS standards.
- Understand and apply by-products processing procedures both practically and theoretically.
- Accurately complete and manage English-written documentation.
- Monitor and operate SCADA systems and gauges.
- You have flexibility to work a rotating 24-hour roster (three 8-hour shifts) with occasional overtime as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and reliable plant operations.
About You
- You have experience in a processing or manufacturing role, particularly in by-products or rendering, is preferred.
- Chemical Handling Certification or willingness to undertake training.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and reading operational gauges.
- Strong understanding of WHS standards and lockout procedures.
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- You have flexibility to work a rotating 24-hour roster (three 8-hour shifts) with occasional overtime as needed.
