The Role:

Due to an internal move, we are looking for Payroll Officer to join our team at Gatton. You will be as a strong 2IC to the Payroll Manager, ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to both the Payroll Manager and Finance Manager, this position requires strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with company Enterprise Agreements and payroll regulations.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of leave entitlements, superannuation, and payroll tax liabilities.
• Prepare and submit weekly PAYG reconciliations and payroll reports.
• Provide support and leadership to the Payroll and HR teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
• Manage payroll for a large workforce (500+ employees preferred).

• You have minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• You have excellent people skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• You are energetic, motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• You have exceptional time management and organisational abilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft suite.
• You have experience with Pronto (advantageous).
