The Role:

You are a safety leader looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. As the WHS Manager at our state-of-the-art beef processing facility in Gatton, you’ll take the lead in creating and maintaining a safe and compliant workplace across all levels of the operation.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing effective WHS policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and audits, and leading incident investigations. You’ll work closely with operational leaders and frontline staff to embed a strong safety culture, ensuring everyone understands and values their role in maintaining a safe workplace.

With your practical mindset, strong knowledge of WHS legislation, and ability to engage and influence teams, you’re ready to drive continuous improvement and lead by example. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage WHS policies and procedures to meet compliance and operational needs.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide training and support to employees and managers on WHS practices and requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to foster a strong safety culture across the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS legislation, standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain and report on key safety metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • You have experience in a WHS management role, ideally within manufacturing, agriculture, or food processing.
  • You have strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices.
  • You have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence teams.
  • You have experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
  • You have relevant qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety.
  • You have a hands-on approach and a commitment to fostering a safe workplace culture.
