About us:

Stanbroke is a reputable family-owned and operated Australian cattle and beef business.  Our operations span across Northern Queensland, with the extensive cattle properties, backgrounding operations in Southern Queensland, a state-of-the-art cattle feedlot, a fully accredited beef processing facility and global marketing capabilities. We offer a full range of Grain and Grass-fed beef categories and export to over 35 countries globally.

Your Role:

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll lead capital and process improvement projects that lift performance, improve product quality, and strengthen profitability across our processing, boning, rendering, and value-add facilities. Based at our state-of-the-art processing plant in Grantham (with regular travel between sites as required).

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and deliver capital and process improvement projects from concept to completion.
  • Scope, budget, and oversee project timelines ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, automation systems, and equipment upgrades.
  • Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver practical, cost-effective outcomes.
  • Prepare robust ROI models and business cases to support investment decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve yield, throughput, energy efficiency, and labour productivity.
  • Track and report project results - ensuring projected benefits are achieved.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • You’re a results-driven engineer with strong project management and commercial nous.
  • You have experience managing capital projects within manufacturing, processing, or food production environments.
  • You’re skilled in cost-benefit analysis, ROI modelling, and stakeholder management.
  • You’re innovative, analytical, and hands-on.
  • You enjoy finding smarter ways to get things done.
  • You have a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar).
