Your Role:

We’re looking for a proactive and detail focused OH&S 2IC to support the Health, Safety and Security function at our Grantham Processing Plant.

In this key role, you’ll help foster a safe, secure, and compliant workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Working closely with the Health, Safety & Security Manager, you’ll assist in implementing safety protocols, managing incident investigations, coordinating return-to-work programs, and supporting the security team.

This role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and values teamwork and accountability.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Health, Safety and Security Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-managed workplace.
• Assist with incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits across all departments.
• Coordinate return-to-work programs and liaise with WorkCover, medical providers, and employees.
• Conduct drug and alcohol testing and ensure compliance with company policies and WHS legislation.
• Oversee day-to-day security operations, including CCTV reviews, rosters, and incident response.
• Organise emergency drills, safety meetings, and toolbox talk to promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain accurate records, training registers, and reports to support compliance and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a workplace health, safety, or security role, ideally within manufacturing or processing.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and incident management procedures.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and organised, with a hands-on approach to safety and compliance.
• Confident working with reporting systems and safety documentation.
• Ability to lead by example and build positive working relationships across teams.
• Hold, or be working towards, a qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related field.
