We have an exciting new role for a commercially minded Food Solutions Operations Manager to oversee the operational and commercial performance of our value-add facility. This is your chance to optimise plant performance, boost product yields, and bring innovative food solutions to market.

Stanbroke is a reputable family-owned Australian cattle and beef business. Our operations span Northern Queensland, with extensive cattle properties, backgrounding operations in Southern Queensland, state-of-the-art feedlots, a fully accredited beef processing facility, and global marketing capabilities. We offer a full range of grain-fed and grass-fed beef categories and export to over 40 countries worldwide.
Your Role:
You are an operational leader with strong commercial nous and a passion for efficiency, productivity, and product development. In this role, you will lead a team of 4 direct reports and oversee the performance of our value-add production area, ensuring labour efficiency, plant throughput, and product yields are optimised while working closely with Sales and Marketing to bring new products to market. You will play a key role in connecting commercial strategy with plant execution.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the operational performance of the value-add production area to ensure efficient plant throughput and productivity
- Monitor and improve labour structures, production yields, and plant efficiency
- Analyse production data to identify cost reduction and operational improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with plant management on production scheduling and planning
- Manage plant operating costs and product costings in partnership with Finance
- Drive end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) including plant trials and product launches
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to align production capability with customer demand
- Provide operational input into product feasibility, design, and pricing
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve yields, and enhance productivity
Who We're Looking For:
- Strong operational experience in food manufacturing or meat processing
- Proven ability to improve plant performance, labour productivity, and yield management
- Experience delivering new products from concept to commercial production
- Commercially aware with strong financial acumen
- Collaborative, able to work across operations, sales, and marketing teams
- Strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills
