HR Coordinator
Job No:
SBB589
Location:
Brisbane
Early in your HR career and looking for a role where you'll genuinely get your hands dirty — not just watch from the sidelines? This is a coordination role sitting within our HR team. You'll be the organised, reliable person that keeps our people processes moving, supports our managers, and makes sure the administration behind every HR activity is done properly.
About us
Stanbroke is a reputable family-owned and operated Australian Cattle and beef business. Our operations span Northern Queensland, with extensive cattle properties, backgrounding operations in Southern Queensland, state-of-the-art cattle feedlots, a fully accredited beef processing facility, and global marketing capabilities. We offer a full range of Grain and Grass-fed beef categories and export to over 40 countries globally.
What you'll be doing
Working closely with our HR team and hiring managers, you'll keep the hiring process moving - screening applications, scheduling interviews, and making sure candidates are kept in the loop. That same attention to detail carries across the broader HR space, from coordinating apprenticeship subsidies and documenting the employee lifecycle to jumping in on other HR functions as needed.
For the right person, there's genuine scope to grow into broader HR and recruitment responsibilities over time - but first and foremost, we need someone who takes pride in doing the coordination and admin side of things really well.
You'll be
- Coordinating HR and recruitment processes across the Group - keeping activities on track, following up, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks
- Supporting hiring managers and the broader HR team with scheduling, documentation, and day-to-day coordination
- Maintaining our HR systems and keeping employee and process records accurate and up to date
- Assisting with onboarding coordination - helping new starters hit the ground running from day one
- Supporting general HR administration across the employee lifecycle, from induction through to offboarding
- Pitching in on HR projects and initiatives as the team needs - this is a team that works together
What you’ll bring
You're organised, switched-on, and ready to be the person the team can rely on to keep things moving. You might be:
- A graduate with a HR, business, or related degree ready to kick off your career somewhere you'll actually learn the ropes
- Someone with 1–2 years in an HR or administration role looking to get more exposure
- Someone early in an agency recruitment career who wants to move in-house and build solid foundations in a broader people role
Whatever your background, you'll bring:
- Strong organisation and attention to detail - you follow things through without being asked twice
- Excellent communication skills - you're comfortable dealing with people at all levels
- Confidence with Microsoft Office and picking up new systems quickly (experience with an ATS is a bonus)
- A genuine interest in people and process, not just ticking boxes
- A practical, down-to-earth attitude that fits an ag business
Why Stanbroke
- Permanent opportunity with a leading Australian agribusiness
- A genuine entry point into HR and recruitment - with a team that will invest in your development
- Broad exposure across a diverse business
- Exclusive staff discounts on premium Stanbroke beef products
If you're looking for a role that gives you a real foundation in HR and recruitment - we'd love to hear from you.
