South Burnett Community Services is part of Lutheran Services and is based in Kingaroy. We deliver services for people living with a disability and for older people living independently in the community who would like to enjoy activities in a social situation.
About Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of individuals with disabilities by providing tailored support to help them live independently, engage in the community, and develop essential life skills.
- Supporting clients in achieving personal and developmental goals
- Assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care and meal preparation
- Providing in-home and community-based support to promote independence
- Encouraging skill development through mentoring and positive role modeling
- Collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure high-quality care
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with guidelines
About You:
- Creativity and motivation to deliver meaningful support
- Current Blue card & Yellow card (NDIS Clearance)
- Certificate III (or higher) in one or more of these qualifications - Individual Support; Aged Care; Disabilities or HomeCare
- Valid QLD Driver’s License
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A client-focused approach, valuing inclusivity and respect
