ADD VALUE - THE ROLE

Working within the Communications team and providing graphic design support and creative design solutions for Council’s communications activities, the primary function of the Graphic Design Officer is to deploy and ensure use of Council’s branding and Style Guide in the creation and delivery of quality and timely print, electronic and digital material to enhance communication with external and internal stakeholders, enhance Council’s image and promote the activities of Council in the community.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Prepare creative graphic designs and materials (including but not limited to documents, posters, flyers, signs, flags, newsletters, web banners and social media tiles) to support the delivery of a range of projects to diverse audiences
  • Produce creative concepts, final and complete artwork to “press ready” standard
  • Organise quotes, review proposals and engage contractors to construct/print and install final products
  • Provide expertise and advice in the area of publication design and visual imagery on a diverse range of materials in keeping with industry standards and trends

This position is offered on a term contract, part-time basis working 15 hours per week until 30 June 2025.

Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 9 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $31,675 - $35,630 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.
