ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The Development Planner contributes to important community outcomes and making a real impact for Singleton. The natural diversity of this role matches the natural diversity of the Singleton LGA meaning that every day will be different. This role sits within Council’s Development and Environmental Services, responsible for providing a progressive, relevant system that enhances social, economic and environmental land use development in a timely transparent way.
Responsible for the assessment of development applications and provision of written & verbal advice in relation to land use, zoning, permissibility and compliance with relevant legislation & Council policies, you will be challenged in a rewarding and supportive environment.
A degree or diploma in Town Planning and relevant experience in development assessment is essential for this role, complemented by sound knowledge of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993 and associated legislation, and sound written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports.
This position is offered on a term contract full-time basis working 35 hours per week until April 2025.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 10 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $77,968 - $87,704 per annum plus superannuation and a vehicle allowance of $17,639.77 per annum totaling a TRP of $95,608.05 - $105,344.53 per annum plus superannuation.
