A professional male with a physical disability is seeking a reliable, organised, and flexible Lifestyle Support Worker to assist with daily living, study, and personal development. This role will suit an experienced support worker who can easily transition from a casual style of support, to a more professional mode of support, as required when different situations arise.
This role involves providing support across health and wellbeing, community access, and employment, while also assisting in maintaining a clean environment for health maintenance and an organised and functional home environment. You will also support with editing written work and helping ensure communication reflects the gentleman’s intended voice and meaning.
This role is well-suited to a TAFE or university student, or someone with a background in community services, health, or social sciences, who is open to flexible work arrangements. The successful applicant will be someone who can build a positive, respectful working relationship and actively support goals related to independence, mental health, health and self-care.

Shifts Times
- Monday: 3:00pm – 9:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:00 am -10: 00 am & 3:00 pm – 9:00pm
- Thursday: 8:00 am- 10:00 & 3:00 pm – 9:00pm
Shifts are also flexible - additional support hours to be negotiated when required.
Open to flexible work arrangements, such as remote online administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- To listen then apply organisation and planning, both face to face online systems
- Assist in routines with household tasks and maintaining a clean, organised environment in a team environment.
- Health Medication promotion
- Attending medical and allied health appointments
- Maintenance of a clean environment in the bathroom
- Support with reviews and ordering, continuanal assistance to update excel sheets
- Assist with written communication and work life - editing and reviewing documents both word doc and excel spreadsheets.
- Supporting access to shopping, education, social events, and meetings
- Assisting with vehicle tasks, including fuelling and basic upkeep.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with STOMA care and supporting an individual post-cancer
- Interest in, or experience with learning disability
- Skilled at appropriately transitioning from a casual style of support to a professional mode of support as required
- Interest in gardening, community services, mental health, or professional development
- Understanding and skill in assisting a person with anxiety
- Providing mental health support, especially assisting to bring structure when required
- Able to support self direction and self reflection.
Mandatory Requirements
- Open Australian Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete)
- Rights to work in Australia
- Ability to provide 2 referees
- Willingness to pick up additional shifts when required
- Vaccination preferred (Flu & COVID)
Pay Rates ( Under ABN)
$55 - $65 per hour dependent on experience, skills and qualifications
