Female Disability Support Worker

A 32-year-old lady living independently in Gaythorne with her brother is looking for a new Lifestyle Support Worker. She is quiet, easy going and likes being physically active. She enjoys going for walks and going to the gym. She is also creative and enjoys painting, clay work and listening to music.

Support is required to maintain daily routines and to explore activities out and about in the community. This role will be well suited to a support worker living locally with the flexibility / availability to pick up extra shifts when other support workers are on leave. The ideal candidate will be active and fit with previous experience supporting individuals with Autism.

Support required with:

  • Community Access
  • Social Support
  • Providing transport
  • Completing daily domestic tasks

Shifts:

  • 2 -3 weekday shifts per week - 12pm - 6 pm
  • 1 weekend shift - Approximately 10 hours per day - 8am - 6pm 
  • Flexibility / availability to pick extra shifts

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 1+ years’ experience in a disability support or aged care role
  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism 
  • Certificate III in Individual Support
  • Patient, respectful and supportive of choices / lifestyle
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A team player 
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • Good cooking skills

Pay Rates:

  • $47.50 per hour Monday to Friday 
  • $57.50 per hour Saturday 
  • $67.50 per hour Sunday
  • $77.50 per hour Public Holiday

Start Date: 1st Week of January

Essential requirements:

  • ABN
  • Open Driver’s license and own vehicle with insurance
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Live within reasonable travelling distance
  • NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Flexibility to pick up additional hours when needed
