A fun loving 26-year-old lady living in Warner is looking for a compassionate and dedicated female support worker to join a small support team in North Brisbane. She loves to interact with her support workers and is into technology and gaming (Super Mario is her all-time favourite). She also enjoys colouring, art, board games and being creative. When getting out and about she enjoys theme parks, rides, musicals, circus’s and plays. While her main residence is in Warner, she often travels to Bribie Island and shifts can be from both locations.

The ideal candidate will have an upbeat personality and enjoy getting involved in activities. They will be able to follow a structured routine while also having the critical thinking skills to be able to adapt if needed. Additionally, they will be reliable, punctual and an excellent communicator with good time management skills.

The Role:

  • Personal Care
  • PEG Feeding
  • Mobility support
  • Domestic tasks & household chores
  • Community access
  • Transportation
  • Following care plan
  • Liaising with family, support team and Team Leader

Shifts:

  • Inactive overnight shifts
  • Shifts 8.30am to 8.30am 24 hours up
  • Flexibility to pick up extra shifts when required

 * Shifts will be regular but subject to change with notice*

 Pay Rate:

  • Monday to Friday - $43 per hour
  • Weekends - $53 per hour

 Essential requirements:

  • +1 years experience Disability support work
  • Excellent communicator with proficient English
  • Open Driver’s license and own vehicle with insurance
  • ABN & Insurance
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Available to work 24 hour shifts
  • Live within reasonable travelling distance (to Bribie Island and Warner)

Highly regarded

  • Experience with PEG Feeding
  • Medical / Nursing experience
