About the Role

  • Permanent Full time

We are looking for an Administration Officer for an immediate start in our Katherine office.

The Administration Officer is a pivotal support to the organisation, ensuring the provision of comprehensive range of administrative and office support duties to Quality & Practice leadership team and maintenance of a professional office environment to a high standard. You will work as a part of close knit team to interact positively and appropriately with participant, their families, and the community, demonstrating dignity and respect at all times. The successful candidate will work within the values of Somerville to provide quality service to internal and external stakeholders in the region, providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact. 

Our ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, have good digital and organisational skills, can-do attitude, flexible to learn and adapt, desire to make a difference and has a positive outlook.                   

 

Selection Criteria: 

  1. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
  2. Highly developed written communications skills with the ability to maintain strong attention to detail
  3. Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative, accurate and positive manner
  4. Ability to prioritise, organise and complete work within established deadlines, and to maintain a consistent level of professionalism
  5. Experience in developing procedures and using document control processes.
  6. An ability to work effectively within a busy team environment and to work unsupervised
  7. High level of professionalism including the confidential management of all organisational, customer and employee information
  8. Skills in building relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
  9. Able to effectively manage time and balance priorities
  10. Experience in using technology to communicate and share information
  11. Experience following policies, procedures and plans

 

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience in the not for profit or disability sector, or a demonstrated appreciation and understanding of community-based organisations.

 

Employment Requirements

  1. Current Northern Territory Drivers Licence
  2. Current National Criminal History
  3. Working with Children Clearance (NT Ochre Card)
  4. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  5. Vaccinations – COVID 19, Influenza
  6. First Aid and CPR Certificate
