About the Role

  • Full time - 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Join the Somerville family to support our CEO and lead a small team of administrators to provide a quality service to internal and external stakeholders. Provide a professional and welcoming environment across both our Wagaman and Palmerston offices.

The Executive Assistant/Office manager is a pivotal support to the organisation, ensuring the provision of comprehensive range of administrative and office support duties to the CEO and maintenance of a professional office environment to a high standard.

You will lead the team to interact positively and appropriately with participants, their families, and the community, demonstrating dignity and respect at all times.

The successful candidate will work within the values of Somerville to provide quality service to internal and external stakeholders in the region, providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact. 

Our ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, have good digital and organisational skills, can-do attitude, flexible to learn and adapt, desire to make a difference and has a positive outlook.         

Essential Criteria

- A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar high level administrative support role.

- Demonstrated effective time management, coordination and organisational skills.

- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with a range of people from different backgrounds and cultures.  

- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in the              management of client, employee and organisational information.

- Demonstrated high level verbal and written skills, including sound experience in minute-taking for executive meetings.

- Experienced administration leader with the ability to manage and coordinate a professional, high quality delivery from a team.

- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in the effective management of diaries and the production of high quality documents and materials.

- Demonstrated knowledge of office equipment, including telephone systems, photocopiers and facsimile machines.

- Demonstrated research and analytical knowledge and skills.

 

 

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience in the not for profit or disability sector, or a demonstrated appreciation and understanding of community-based organisations.

 Employment Requirements

  1. Current Northern Territory Drivers Licence
  2. Current National Criminal History
  3. Working with Children Clearance (NT Ochre Card)
  4. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  5. Vaccinations – COVID 19, Influenza
  6. First Aid Certificate
