About the role

This is a hands on role, suitable for active individuals who can perform manual handling duties.

We're looking for people with:

  • A genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disabilities;
  • Understanding, ability and willingness to implement Person-Centred Practice
  • The ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to assist those disadvantaged in and damaged by our society through appropriate service delivery models
  • Sound communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective organisational and time management skills
  • Commitment to cross cultural awareness
  • High level of professionalism including the confidential management of all organisational, service user and employee information

Highly desirable:

  • Relevant experience working in Disability, Human and/or Community Service
  • Relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support or another relevant field
