About the role
Somerville has an opportunity for a full time Work, Health, Safety Coordinator to join our team in Darwin. We are looking for a highly motivated and engaging person to join our family friendly, vibrant and dynamic team. You will be responsible for providing leadership, support, advice and assistance with the safety and wellbeing strategies and initiatives across the organisation.

Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification, or demonstrated equivalent experience in WHS
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement safety and wellbeing initiatives
- Expert skills in MS Office programs and safety and compliance systems
- Good written and report writing skills
- High level interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated track record for completing tasks and projects
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, and communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Strong focus on communication and change management
- Developed organisational and time management skills
- Experience in strategy development and implementation.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in the not for profit sector, or a demonstrated appreciation and understanding of community-based organisations.
- Presentation and facilitation skills in delivering information to groups.
Additional Requirements:
Current Northern Territory Drivers License and the ability to travel independently
Current National Criminal History Check
Working with Children Clearance (NT Ochre Card)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Provide First Aid Certificate
Influenza Vaccination
