About the Role
Join the Somerville family to support our executives and lead a small team of administrators to provide a quality service to internal and external stakeholders. Provide a professional and welcoming environment across the organisation.
The Executive Assistant/Office Manager is a pivotal support to the organisation, ensuring the provision of comprehensive range of administrative and office support duties to the CEO and COO. Along with adhering to the maintenance of a professional office environment.
You will lead the team to interact positively and appropriately with participants, their families, and the community, demonstrating dignity and respect at all times.
The successful candidate will work within the values of Somerville to provide quality service to internal and external stakeholders in the region, providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact.
Our ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, have good digital and organisational skills, a can-do attitude, be flexible to learn and adapt, desire to make a difference and have a positive outlook.
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar executive support role.
- Significant experience providing secretariate support to Board and Committees.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in the management of client, employee and organisational information.
- Demonstrated effective time management, coordination and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and integrity
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information accurately and efficiently
- Experienced administration leader with the ability to manage and coordinate a professional, high quality delivery from a team.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in the effective management of diaries/outlook calendars and the production of high quality documents and materials.
- Demonstrated knowledge of office equipment e.g. including telephone systems, photocopiers, binders etc.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within the NDIS or not-for-profit or community services sector.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
Employment Requirements
- Current Northern Territory Drivers Licence
- Working with Children Clearance (NT Ochre Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance & Orientation
- Vaccinations – COVID 19 & Booster, Influenza
