About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time or Part time Team Leader Specialist Support Coordinator to join our Alice Springs team.
The Team Leader Specialist Support Coordinator will oversee a small team of support coordinators, offering guidance and support while promoting a positive workplace culture.
The role also involves maintaining a caseload and delivering specialist case management for NDIS Participants with complex needs, helping them navigate challenges and achieve successful plan implementation.
You will build relationships with participants, their families, and support networks, to deliver person-centred supports to achieve positive and successful outcomes.
You will be liaising with various government agencies including: National Disability and Insurance Agency, Quality & Safeguards Commission, Department of Health, Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee, Justice, and Education.
You will develop a collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders and disability service organisations.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in the delivery of NDIS Specialist Support Coordination.
- Demonstrated Team Leadership experience.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in an allied health and/or human services related field, and/or experience working in the community services sector.
- Experience working with people with disabilities, people with psychosocial disabilities and people with behaviours of concern.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and cooperatively as part of a team
- Highly developed organisational, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and meet the demands of multiple tasks, competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated high level of professionalism in the confidential management of all organisational, client and employee information.
- Computer literacy – efficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new client management systems quickly.
- Highly developed written communication skills with the ability to maintain strong attention to detail.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to facilitate and lead stakeholder meetings and develop networks and relationships with internal and external stakeholders..
Additional Requirements:
- Current Northern Territory Drivers Licence and the ability to travel independently
- Current National Criminal History Check (obtained within the last 3 months)
- Working with Children Clearance (NT Ochre Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- NDIS Orientation Certificate
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Vaccinations Influenza, COVID 19 with Booster
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in the not for profit sector, or a demonstrated appreciation and understanding of community-based organisations.
