Lead a Supported Independent Living house with a trusted NT organisation.

We’re seeking a confident and organised Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses in Alice Springs.

This hands-on leadership role suits someone who understands what quality support looks like - and takes pride in building a capable, consistent team that support participants to live independently and with dignity.

 

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of Disability Support Workers
  • Model active support practices that promote choice, participation, and independence
  • Coordinate daily routines, appointments, and activities aligned with participant goals
  • Maintain clear communication with participants, families, and colleagues
  • Oversee documentation, shift notes, and incident reporting
  • Ensure Behaviour Support Plans and individual support plans are followed consistently
  • Monitor staff compliance with training, certifications, and organisational procedures

 

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience as a Disability Support Worker, with confidence leading or mentoring others
  • Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and person-centred active support
  • Professionalism, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Commitment to teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Current (or ability to obtain) Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid and CPR, NT Driver’s Licence, and influenza vaccination
