We’re seeking a confident and organised male Team Leader to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of a newly established Supported Independent Living (SIL) house in Palmerston.

This hands-on leadership role suits someone who understands what quality support looks like, and takes pride in building a capable and consistent team. This role requires demonstrated experience supporting people with complex behaviours of concern and forensic disability support needs.

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with participants, families, colleagues and relevant external stakeholders
  • Oversee documentation, shift notes, and incident reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance
  • Ensure Behaviour Support Plans and individual support plans are implemented consistently and safely
  • Monitor staff compliance with training, certifications and organisational procedures, maintaining a strong culture of accountability
  • Participate in the shared on-call roster on a rotational basis (one week in every eight), with an additional on-call allowance applicable.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience supporting people with complex behaviours of concern, including experience in forensic or high-risk disability support environments
  • Proven leadership capability, with confidence mentoring staff and providing clear direction in structured settings
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Sound judgement, emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations
  • A solid understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards, Behaviour Support frameworks and person-centred active support
  • Commitment to professional accountability, documentation quality and continuous improvement
  • Current (or ability to obtain) Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid and CPR, NT Driver’s Licence and influenza vaccination
  • Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services or a related field, with Diploma qualifications highly regarded.

Please refer to the full position description for a complete list of essential and desirable criteria.
