About The Role
As an Early Childhood Assistant you will bring your passion for working with children to our supportive team to provide quality education and care services. You will work with a team of dedicated educators to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework whilst maintaining the elements of the National Quality Standards (NQS). You will assist in the observation and evaluation of children’s development to support their learning outcomes. You will also engage with families and the community.
About The Centre
SDN Batemans Bay Preschool was established in the early 1970s and operates as a hub of the community for local children and their families. Our preschool was purpose re - built in 2005 and has modern, light-filled environment with regular excursions, and events to offer a strong and well - rounded foundation for the children.
It is a 30 place preschool for children between the ages of 3 to 6 years.
Our preschool is open during school terms only and hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4pm with paid vacation leave (School Holidays).
About You
The right candidate for this role will have the following:
- A Certificate III in Children’s Services
- A Working with Children Check clearance number (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in a similar role
- The ability to form warm, responsive relationships with children
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Initiative and capacity to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate an awareness of and commitment to child safety and comply with the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998.
